Russian TV reports deaths likely in sub disaster

The Chief of the Assembly of First Nations had a message for the federal Minister of Fisheries Thursday morning: "Call off your troops."

Russian sailors jump ship, want to stay in Canada

Canadian immigration officials are trying to sort out a labour dispute on a Russian fishing vessel in Halifax. Several sailors, literally, jumped ship and have refused to re-board.
